After 15 years in sales and management in the laundry packaging industry, Tom Davis was dissatisfied with the quality of product and development of laundry packing equipment. He had a dream to begin a company that would build more efficient products at a better cost. In 1978, Davis realized his dream and founded Davis Packaging.

Davis Packaging was built on easily renewed relationships with former customers, and through careful planning and better product development, the company rapidly grew. Through an orchestrated advertising campaign, he began to receive his first foreign orders in 1980 from firms interested in economical hygienic packaging for hospital laundries.

Based in Palm Beach County, Florida, Davis Packaging now boasts clientele from as far reaching as Germany, Belgium, Iceland, Australia, and New Zealand. The quality of his products has earned him contracts in the challenging Asian markets of Singapore , Malaysia and even Japan . His products are in use across the United States and Canada in innumerable hospital laundries, linen supply companies, commercial and industrial laundry services, family laundromats, as well as printers, copy centers and office supply warehouses.

In June 2005, Davis Packaging, a member of NAILM, will be attending CLEAN '05 (World Educational Congress for Laundering and Dry cleaning) in Orlando, Florida, the largest exhibition for the textile industry. It ranks as one of the top 100 North American trade shows, where the latest products of Davis Packaging, including the TD-3614, a new semi-automatic laundry wrapper, which will produce 8 to 10 packages per minute, will be on display.

Through all its growth and success, Tom Davis has remained at the company's helm as president, and Davis Packaging has retained an atmosphere of encouragement to its employees and friendliness to its clientele.
